donut love

Yesterday when I got back from lunch my boss was apparently hitting his afternoon lull.  He was exclaiming how he was so tired he had to think about what he was thinking.  So being the opportunist that I am, I suggested that he run to the gas station to get a 5 hour energy.  We were the only 2 in the office yesterday, so I saw this opportunity to have a brief moment with the office to myself, so I could just relax, and not worry about my boss criticising something that I'm doing.  To my surprise/delight he decides to go get a 5 hour and asks if I want to come with, "No, I'm good!  Don't fall asleep in your car though!"
Curt: "NO! You're coming with me!  Come on, we'll only be 15 min!"

So, not sure what to do, I accompanied him to the gas station which consisted of riding in his car, walking into the gas station, and pretending to look interested at the donut stand while Curt chose the flavor he wanted.  Then after he paid, I walked back out and rode back to the office with him.  My going served absolutely NO PURPOSE. 

Is this odd or normal?  I think it's odd, and I still don't know why he insisted that I go with!

Ok so in an effort to get at some of our customers, the bank's branch manager (my office is right upstairs from a WF bank) brought us a dozen Krispy Kreme's yesterday....there are 3 people in my office.  Which means these donuts will be sitting in front of me until they are all gone, and that also means that it's my duty to eat 4 of those. 

I'm well on my way, I've eaten 3 so far....but they are just taunting me.  I know alot of people claim they don't like Krispy Kreme beucase they are too sugary or something, but I really think that as far as donuts go, it doesn't get any better that this.

I became obsessed with them while I was in Spain, and recently was missing their music so I finally broke down and actually purchased some of their music.

If you don't love them thats ok, but I always appreciate a good music idea, so if you get any of their songs try Nineteen, and The Con, which are 2 of my faves.

Feel It In My Bones - Tegan and Sara

Today Cort found out that his favorite station was BACK ON THE AIR!!  There was rejoicing and blasting of someone's favorite Cyndi Lauper song.  Lake FM welcome back.

I just realized that in an effort to avoid lonely nights in my one bedroom apartment I go to great lengths to sit silently in other people's apartments and do the same things I'd be doing in my own apartment.

For example: tonight after work I ran home, changed quickly, ate some old peas that were in my fridge, decided I couldn't possibly work out because my job is draining the life out of me, and was out the door for Ash and Christine's apartment in less than 5 minutes.  I ate leftover mac and cheese and read a book on the couch without really talking to either of them until at 9:00 pm when I packed up shop and drove over to Mike and Andy's.  There I made an egg white and mushroom omelette for my biology-loving boyfriend and I, and after sat alone on the couch checking facebook, and finally writing this, while Mike studies in his room, and Andy watches TV in his room.

Why is it so comforting knowing that people are around even when you're not near them, and not talking to them???  If I was doing this same thing all night in my apartment, I know I'd be lonely.  And I don't think this is very unique either, does anyone else feel this way?

Hey mom, if you still read this....how come these have never been under the Christmas Tree, or even a Valentine's Day present??

Ok, so many of you are familiar with my boss.  For identity's sake, I will call him Cort.  Anyway about 3 months ago he decided his new favorite radio station was 94.5 Lake FM.  For those of you not familiar, think easy listening; on their web page is a picture of Eric Clapton.  Well about 3 weeks ago, when Cort was out of the office, we switched the station, just wanting to hear some different songs.

This is where it gets good.  Cort came back on monday, and it was business as usual until around 10am when Ke$ha's TiK ToK played for the second time he announced "that's wierd, it seems like they're starting to change the format of this station!".  An hour later during Lady Gaga's Bad Romance: "Dunny! [dunny is the only thing Cort calls me....more on that later] They've totally reformatted this station!  They're trying to be more young and hip I think!"

Cort never realized that the station had been changed from 94.5 Lake FM to 99.1 Hot Radio, not even when they announced that it was 99.1 HOT RADIO!!!

Today I finally got sick of all those songs, and the joke had gotten old, so I put on KISS fm.  After luda, lollypop, and love in this club came on back to back Cort changed the station.  The best part was watching him try to find another suitable station, since Lake FM had sadly been reformatted, and disappeared from the radio waves.

I have decided to continue my blog...mostly because I'm bored tonight, everyone cool (except Ben Coogan) has already left for their Easter weekend destinations and I'm just hanging out alone.
